R.PROP A02P
What is this recycled polypropylene?
A pink, translucent, copolymeric polypropylene made from 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) feedstock, derived from expanded polypropylene (EPP), and certified according to RecyClass. This injection-moldable grade offers a good balance of impact strength and elongation. The material is not intended for highly regulated applications such as food contact, potable water, or use in medical or pharmaceutical products.
Material properties (typical values)
-

Technical benefits
-
This material combines good impact with good elongation properties. It also shows good processability.
Look and feel
-
The sample is dimensionally straight and accurate, with excellent surface quality for polypropylene.
-
The material is better described as pink translucent rather than transparent.
Environmental benefits
100% post-consumer recycled material, it is certified according to RecyClass and meets the requirements of the ISO 14021:2016 standard.
The filtration level of the sorting process is 200 µm (laser filter), which contributes to the quality of recyclate. Volatile components according to ASTM D6980 are unknown.
Applications
This material is suitable for containers & boxes, furniture, consumer goods and packaging solutions.

Why we chose this recycled polypropylene
EPP recycling is not as widely practiced or common as PP recycling. Therefore, converting EPP waste into an injection-moldable material that is 100% recycled and further recyclable is a significant contribution to advancing circularity.
Why you should consider this material
-
You are looking for a recycled polypropylene, but with a vibrant colour.
-
You are looking for 100% PCR material
